La Braccesca has been the Cortona estate of the Marchesi di antinori since 1990, one of the most prestigious families in the wine world dedicated to the production of Tuscany's most renowned wines.
La braccesca covers 508 hectares in an area of Tuscany on the borders between Montepulciano and Cortona, where the ancient farm of the Bracci counts once stood, hence the name and its coat of arms: an arm covered in armor holding a sword. Two types of vigna coexist on the estate's hectares: the traditional nobile di montepulciano and the innovative syrah of Cortona, a wine-growing area with great potential.
The Antinori family sensed the potential of the estate's vineyards and land, in fact today la braccesca's wines represent an extraordinary range that fits fully into the winery's wine production, which has always been committed to enhancing the great Tuscan tradition with high-end labels while respecting the territory.
