Amphitheater of vigna and protection of chianti birds

In the heart of Chianti Classico, Castellare di castellina cultivates 33 hectares of vineyards embraced by a natural amphitheater facing southeast, at 370 m a.s.l. Sandy-clay soils and wide temperature ranges sculpt wines that tell the story of the territory with absolute purity. Since 1980, the winery has rejected synthetic herbicides and pesticides: each VINTAGE pays homage on the label to a different species of bird that populates the Tuscan hills, a symbol of a biodiversity to be protected.

    • High-altitude terroir - well-ventilated hills, southeast exposure and mineral soils for crisp fruit and silky tannins.
    • Native grapes - Sangiovese (locally "Sangioveto") and historic Chianti varieties processed without synthetic chemicals.
    • "No chemicals " philosophy - total absence of herbicides and pesticides; soil management with green manure and light tillage.
