Choosing the right wine for Florentine steak is only seemingly simple. In fact, there are many alternatives, although all of them involve a full-bodied and structured rosso wine that can best accompany Chianina steak, a classico of Tuscan cuisine. The first option for pairing wine and Florentine steak is, of course, one of our Chianti Classico wines, which shares the same terroir with the recipe. The hints of rosso fruit, spices and that typical Chianti balsamic appeal go wonderfully with the typical grilled steak. Alternatively, you can choose one of our Montepulciano d'abruzzo, a wine that is more surly but just as suitable for accompanying a rare T-bone steak, enhancing its flavor. Back in Tuscany, then, you can't fail to mention Rosso di Montalcino, another Sangiovese that with its round and fruity character backs up the savoriness of the meat. But, as we said, the possibilities of pairing wine and Florentine meat are many.
