    Potato gnocchi can star in many recipes, and depending on the sauce you choose you will need a different wine, white or rosso depending on the recipe and your taste. Gnocchi with meat sauce, sorrentine sauce, pesto sauce? Each sauce will have its perfect match: if you prefer red wine, it will have to have a nice acidity and good tannin, and also a sustained alcohol content, in order to balance the rich unctuousness of the gnocchi; so a Nebbiolo might be the right option.
