The Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut by Col Vetoraz is a sparkling wine elaborated with the Martinotti or Charmat method on the famous hills of Valdobbiadene, which represent the historic and most prestigious area for the production of Prosecco. It has a thin and creamy foam, delicate floral and white fruit aromas. The sip is lively and harmonious, with an entrance on the palate of pleasant citrus freshness, which relaxes on elegant fruity notes. The finish closes on savory sensations typical of the terroir.
This Spumante Superiore Brut is born in the vineyards that the Col Vetoraz winery cultivates in the Valdobbiadene area, on the hills facing west, where the ripening of the grapes is always ideal for making fresh and aromatically intense sparkling bases. The proximity of the foothills of the Pre-Alps guarantees the presence of strong temperature variations during the harvest period, which favor the development of elegant perfumes. The vines are located on steep slopes, made up of ancient soils, mainly made up of limestone, clay and sandstone, very suitable for quality viticulture. The harvest usually takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October. The grapes are softly pressed and the first fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature. The base wines, after a brief refinement in steel, are placed in an autoclave for the second fermentation and the second fermentation, according to the Martinotti or Charmat method, for a period of 30/40 days.
Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut by Col Vetoraz is produced with 100% Glera, which thanks to the use of the Martinotti Method, expresses all its typical fruity fragrance, its delicate floral notes, its immediate freshness and drinkability. In the glass it has a light straw yellow color with soft greenish reflections. The perlage is fine and of good persistence. The olfactory picture is characterized by aromas of white flowers, citrus notes, intense aromas of white fruit and a hint of fresh almond. On the palate it is fresh and sapid, with a well-ripe sip and a dry and harmonious finish.
