The Red Reserve wine "Cuvée Flora" is one of those products to which Girlan pays particular attention, which is at the top of the quality achieved by the Cornaiano cellar. It is a blend with an international profile, in which Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot come together in a very pleasant sip, with varied and complex aromas on the nose, which evolve from minute to minute. A bottle in which structure and finesse go hand in hand, as does not always happen in a wine.
This Girlan "Cuvée Flora" is a Red Reserve that comes from the happy union of two international vines that often go well with each other, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines of these varieties grow in vineyards with a hilly profile, located near Cornaiano, at an altitude between 450 and 500 meters above sea level. Here the terroir is characterized by a subsoil in which the sandy composition abounds. The grapes, expertly selected by the Girlan team, after destemming and crushing, ferment alcoholicly in steel, also carrying out the malolactic fermentation. We then proceed with the refinement, carried out first for 20 months in barrique and then, after bottling, for a further 8 months in glass.
The Red Reserve wine "Cuvée Flora" presents itself to the visual examination with a typically deep and compact ruby ​​color. The nose is dominated by balsamic and Mediterranean notes, embellished with touches that, as the minutes go by, become more spicy, also hinting at some aromatic herbs. In the mouth it has an excellent body, structured, with a full and round sip, characterized by a pleasant tannic texture, perfectly worked. Closes with a long persistence finish.
