Natalie Chiu is from Japan and her husband Charlie Winkworth-Smith is from England. They met at the University of Nottingham, where they pursued a doctorate in TASTING NOTES chemistry; but other than that, what else could they have in common? The answer is very simple: their passion for tea. While Natalie lunches on this beverage, Charlie consumes it in the afternoon, with characteristic British punctuality, right after lunch. This, along with Natalie 's intolerance-who gets sick whenever she drinks alcohol-has led this coppia to devise new alternatives. Thus was born Saicho, a project based on the production of non-alcoholic sparkling wines that is based on tea in its different expressions. And in the black tea chapter, Saicho Darjeeling Sparkling Tea stands out.

This coppia traveled all the way to theHimalayan city of Darjeeling to grow Saicho Darjeeling Sparkling Tea leaves. Harvesting takes place in the summer, a time when the aromas and scents of the plant are brought out to the fullest. This profile is brought to its fullest in the 24-hour extraction process, again cold, where Saicho Darjeeling Sparkling Tea will achieve the highest standards of quality. Finally, bubbles will be added, which will complete the profile so original to this sparkling wine.
