ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Although its name may be misleading, Gewürztraminer is an autochthonous Italian vine coming, specifically, from the small town of Termeno in the South Tyrolean province of Bolzano; its name originates, in fact, from the union of its peculiar characteristic: the aromaticity (in German Gewürz), with the name of the locality of origin: Termeno (in German Tramin). This wine, particularly fascinating and elegant, thanks to the very fine varietal aromas of flowers and fruit which are amplified by the cold climates of this area, is loved by everyone and requested all over the world for its versatility in combining it with many recipes, both with Mediterranean and Asian cuisine.
Soft straw color with golden reflections, it opens on clear aromas of yellow rose, pear and lychee, candied citron and honey. On the palate it is velvety, perfectly supported by vibrant acidity and with a long finish with fruity tones.
An excellent aperitif, it finds an ideal accompaniment in preparations based on raw shellfish, sushi and grilled fish, to be tried on goose liver pâté.
