ADDITIONAL NOTES:

In this case we are at the top of the qualitative pyramid when it comes to Barbera grapes. The one coming from the municipality of Nizza, in fact, has always been considered the best and it is no coincidence that it is labeled as DOCG. Here we find it in the successful interpretation of Cascina Valle Asinari. A powerful and rich wine from a gustatory point of view, with the right acidity, typical of the variety. It is obtained from grapes grown in San Marzano Oliveto, in the province of Asti, on sandy soils rich in silt. The vinification is super traditional, in cement tanks, with spontaneous fermentation triggered by indigenous yeasts. At the end of the vinification, this Barbera ages in large Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months and finishes its refinement in cement tanks for another 6 months. In the glass it has a beautiful ruby ​​red color, with complex and elegant aromas that recall red fruit and undergrowth. In the mouth, however, it is warm and powerful but also round and fruity. On the table it does not fear comparisons.
