APPEARANCE:
The wine has an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections that take over after a long aging.
BOUQUET:
On the nose there are hints that are revealed slowly, from licorice, to coffee, to plum jam and tobacco to end with a light note of violet.
TASTING NOTES:
The refined structure is in perfect balance with the acidity, which excellently supports the long persistence. The taste is full, austere, velvety and rightly tannic.
SERVICE TEMPERATURE:
between 18 and 20 °C
FOOD PAIRINGS:
A fine and refined wine that goes well with red meats, game and aged cheeses. A very long aging wine. It has to be served at 18°C in a large wine glass which favors good oxygenation.
Perfect to combine with:
Florentine steak, Beef cut, Fillet with green pepper, Game, Meat and game stew, Tagliatelle ai Funghi, Cold cuts and salami, Mushroom risotto, Aged cheeses.

Jewel of the Banfi family, Brunello Poggio all'Oro is produced from a single vineyard and exclusively in the best vintages.
Soil: area characterized by a large shelf in which the soils develop on brown clayey-silty sediments with stones and pebbles of different nature, of calcareous origin, well structured and well draining. Training system: spurred cordon
Plant density: 2100 cp/ha.
Yield per hectare: 40-50 q/ha.
Fermentation: at controlled temperature (25-30°) in combined vats in steel and Horizon French oak
Refinement: 70% in 60 and 90 hl French oak barrels. and 30% in 350 l French oak barrels. for 3 years and 6 months
The production technique used, given the limited production, is guaranteed only in the best years. Called "excellent" and distinguished by the 5 stars by meticulously selecting the harvested grapes. Maceration takes place at a controlled temperature in Horizon combined steel and wood vats and lasts for 12-14 days.
Matured in barriques for 2 and a half years, the wine is aged in the bottle for at least 12-18 months before being released on the market.
