ADDITIONAL NOTES:
The area of Blackpitts just behind the Teeling distillery was Dublin's industrial area, here traditionally some of the city's largest distilleries were based. Using peat smoke to dry the barley during the malting process, there was always a distinctive aroma in this area, the classico smoky taste that is the signature of this Teeling.
Teeling Blackpitts is a single malt Irish whiskey torbato and distilled three times, aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-wine Sauternes casks (2/3 bourbon and 1/3 Sauternes) before being bottled at 46% vol without being cold filtered.
