Like mountaineers aiming for the summit, the Terrazas de los andes team embarked on a journey of ascent, discovering lands that contribute to the freshness and elegance of the production of fine mountain wines. It first discovered Las Compuertas, an ungrafted Malbec vineyard planted in 1929 at 1070 meters. In subsequent years, he explored the Valle de uco, acquiring the Los Castaños vineyard, in Paraje Altamira, planted at 1100 meters, and then the Licán, planted in Los Chacayes , at 1200 meters. The winery then went as far as El Espinillo, in Gualtallary, at an altitude of 1650 meters: this vineyard became the most productive in the Valle de Uco, thus completing this mosaic of high-altitude plots.
