DESCRIPTION:Grappa of character distilled in the small direct-fire still of the old distillery destroyed in the flood that hit the Valley in 2000. The barrels were salvaged but the loss of the documents did not allow certification of aging and everything stood still for years. Using modern analytical techniques, one can point to 1983 as the VINTAGE of distillation. Today it presents itself with the vigor of a grand distillate, with intense and lingering TASTING NOTES, nuances of smoke, tobacco and spice, and with the charm of the most genuine mountain tradition.

CHARACTERISTICS:Génépy belongs to the memories of many. It was the liqueur that was offered in the mountains, returning from a long day of skiing. It is no coincidence that it is the typical liqueur of the Aosta Valley tradition. La valdôtaine offers it here in a super-traditional version that comes from an infusion in pure alcohol of the small artemisias grown in the mountains at altitudes between 1,900 and 2,000 meters. True heroic cultivation for which we can be grateful from the first sip. Selection of seedlings, care in drying, preparation of infusion, and attention to ripening.
