Casale del Giglio is a winery renowned not only for the fine quality of its wines, but especially because, through its exemplary activity, it has 'discovered' the wine vocation of a territory, that of Agro Pontino, still completely unexplored. Starting from a series of analyses and experiments conducted by a group of experts in the field, the protagonists of the Casale del Giglio winery started a production based on international and innovative methodologies.
Continuous research has made it possible to enrich the wine offer with products of unquestionable excellence, the result of processes designed to be applied to great international grape varieties grown in the Pontine terroir.
Casale del Giglio's Shiraz wine is the result of the first implementation of the international grape variety in the province of Latina; since then, the winery has been the most authoritative interpreter of Italian production of this wine.
Another excellent result of the winery's skillful experimentation is Satrico Casale del Giglio, a white Lazio IGT made from Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Trebbiano Giallo grapes, which has become one of the most representative wines of the production, together with the highly regarded Mater Matuta Casale del Giglio.
