The same softness is also found in the sip, persuasive and round. The tannins are sweet and not at all invasive. Good complexity on both nose and palate, but this does not contradict pleasant and easy drinking. It was the pioneer of a highly successful new style, never seen or tasted before. Masi believed in it and persevered: the finale of this compelling story is now only to be tasted.

A wine of rare eclecticism. It goes well with pastas with rich sauces (meat or mushroom); important red meats, grilled or roasted; and game. Ideal with aged cheeses.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Masi's "Campofiorin" is an authentic piece of history and represents the Veneto winemaking tradition. It was born in 1964 from the ingenuity of Guido Boscaini and has been identified as a "Supervenetian," that is, a wine of "stupendous size and complexity," as it has in fact been called. It is a graceful wine, designed to reintroduce, through a lightened profile, the charm of that ancient production method that consists in the technique of ripasso, that is, the re-fermentation of wine in contact with the marc of Amarone or Recioto. This was the first step on the innovative road that has elevated the well-known Veronese grape blend, based on Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, to levels of absolute excellence, paving the way for modern Valpolicella Ripasso.
In fact, in the rosso wine "Campofiorin" we find three grapes that are strongly characteristic of the area: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. First the grapes are vinified fresh, as is normally done for the production of a rosso wine. Then a second fermentation takes place, triggered by the addition of marc, still rich in residual sugar, from the dried grapes used to produce Amarone.
A deep ruby red color introduces the olfactory and gustatory density of "Campofiorin". Bouquet marked by red fruit and sweet spice, which intertwine in a warm and enveloping bouquet. The same softness is also found in the sip, persuasive and round. The tannins are sweet and not at all invasive. Good complexity on both nose and palate, but this does not contradict a pleasant and easy drinking experience. It was the pioneer of a highly successful new style, never seen or tasted before. Masi believed in it and persevered: the ending of this compelling story is now only to be tasted.
