Burrata is one of the best-known and best-loved specialties of southern Italy, which is another reason why pairing it with the right wine is a frequently recurring question. For a soft, sweet and slightly acidic cheese, the ideal is a soft white such as a Fiano di Avellino or a Chardonnay, capable of enhancing the freshness of burrata and at the same time supporting its taste with a vein of acidity. Moving up north, a fine Roero Arneis or a Piedmont timorasso are a perfect match with burrata, really interesting for combining the elegance of the wine from the Langhe with the frankness of the Apulian specialty.
