Veuve Clicquot

Founded in Reims in 1772, Veuve Clicquot has always remained true to its motto: "One quality, the best." In 1805, Madame Clicquot took the reins of the Maison, transforming herself into one of the first female entrepreneurs of the modern era. An unwavering optimist, she soon became known as "La Grande Dame de la Champagne." Since then, her audacity and desire for innovation have never ceased to inspire the Maison, which continues to leave its mark all over the world.

Despite the difficulties she encountered, Madame Clicquot looked to the future with confidence and was able to overcome an almost impossible challenge for a woman of her time: to revolutionize the Champagne industry. Madame Clicquot created the first table de remuage (an invention still in use today for the essential and precise rotation of each bottle), the first Millesimato Champagne, and the very first Champagne Rosé by blending.

The iconic Yellow Label is synonymous with skills developed over more than two centuries at the heart of the Maison's exceptional cultural heritage. The yellow color, which has been on the Maison's labels since 1877, is an ode to joy and optimism, to the rising sun, and expresses Veuve Clicquot's deep conviction that each day promises new possibilities to build the most radiant of futures.
