Logo La spinetta cantinaSingle-vineyard vision, art on the label and Piedmontese roots

Founded in the early 1960s by Giuseppe "Pin" and Lidia Rivetti, La Spinetta has elevated single-vineyard practice to a stylistic manifesto: from the first single-vineyard Moscato to the Ca' di Pian Barbera, to the Gallina, Valeirano and Starderi barbaresco crus. Success has led the Rivetti brothers to invest in the Barolo of Grinzane Cavour and the Tuscan Tenuta Casanova, without ever betraying the link with native grape varieties.

    • Emblematic wines-Moscato d'asti from single vineyard, Ca' di Pian barbera, Gallina barbaresco, Valeirano, Starderi and Barolo Campè (the only one with the Lion label).
    • "Single vineyard " philosophy - each plot is vinified separately to return, unfiltered, the voice of soil and microclimate.
    • Leading grape varieties - Barbera, Moscato and Nebbiolo in Piedmont; Sangiovese and Vermentino in the Bianco Toscana; Timorasso project for a great white of longevity.
    • Author iconography - almost all bottles sport Albrecht Dürer's Rhinoceros; symbol of the dialogue between creativity and work in the vigna.
    • Territories and crus - historic vigna between barbaresco and Barolo, with marly and sandy soils that enhance the complexity of the Gallina, Valeirano and Starderi crus.
    • Acknowledgements - more than 30 Three Glasses from the Gambero Rosso; scores of up to 97 from james suckling for the barbaresco and barolo crus.
