The grapes come from vineyards managed by Donnafugata, located between the southwestern area of Sicily and the insular dimension of Pantelleria. The harvest focuses on the coolest plots—an essential choice for preserving the aromatic fragrance and ensuring a clear and lively taste. The connection to this territory is also reflected in the wine's name, a tribute to the mermaid Lighea described in the famous story by Tomasi di Lampedusa.
