ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut from Col Vetoraz is a sparkling wine made with the Martinotti or Charmat Method on the famous hills of Valdobbiadene, which represent the historical and most prized area for Prosecco production. It has a fine, creamy mousse and delicate floral and white fruit aromas. The sip is lively and harmonious, with an entry on the palate of pleasant citrus freshness, which stretches over elegant fruity notes. The finish closes on savory sensations typical of the terroir.
This Spumante Superiore Brut comes from the vigna that the Col Vetoraz winery cultivates in the Valdobbiadene area, on hills facing west, where the ripening of the grapes is always ideal for making fresh and aromatically intense sparkling wine bases. The proximity of the foothills of the Pre-Alps ensures that there is a strong temperature range during the harvest period, which favors the development of elegant aromas. The vines are located on steep slopes, consisting of ancient soils, mainly formed by limestone, clay and sandstone, which are very suitable for quality viticulture. The harvest is usually carried out between late September and early October. The grapes are soft-pressed and the first fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature. The base wines, after a brief refinement in steel, are put into autoclaves for frothing and second fermentation, according to the Martinotti or Charmat Method, for a period of 30 to 40 days.
Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut of Col Vetoraz is made with pure Glera, which, thanks to the use of the Martinotti Method, expresses all its typical fruity fragrance, delicate floral notes, immediate freshness and pleasantness of drinking. In the cali-ce it has a light straw yellow color with faint greenish reflections. The perlage is fine and of good persistence. The olfactory picture is characterized by aromas of white flowers, citrus notes, intense aromas of white fruit and a hint of fresh almond. The palate is fresh and savory, with a well-ripened mouthfeel and a dry, harmonious finish.
