Antinori's "Pian delle Vigne" has a beautiful, intense, bright ruby red color.
BOUQUET:
It lets its richness seep through, alternating hints of juicy red fruit, such as cherries and raspberries, with floral violets, typical of Sangiovese. The picture is completed by toasty nuances due to aging in wood, perfectly integrated.
TASTING NOTES:
The tannin, on the palate, is soft and silky, as is the structure. This is a wine that combines body and depth and impeccable elegance. The taste is as intense as the aroma, with which there is a precise correspondence. The long persistence amplifies the perception of pleasantness of this noble Sangiovese. "We have a mission that is not fully accomplished, which pushes us to express the vast potential of our vineyards and to reconcile the new that remains to be discovered with the heritage of Tuscan taste," this, in short, is Piero Antinori's mission and the soul of his wine.
SERVING TEMPERATURE:
between 18 and 20°C
FOOD PAIRINGS:
perfect for game dishes such as stracotti, braised meats, wild boar, guinea fowl or duck but also roast veal and pork. Also sensational pairings with richly seasoned pasta dishes such as Tortelli alla Mugellana with wild boar ragout, or Tuscan Pappardelle. It is also very convincing with very aged rich cheeses.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Pian delle Vigne is the Brunello di Montalcino from the house of Antinori, a historic family of Tuscan wine producers with a tradition of more than 600 years, during which time it has managed to tread the road of excellence until it has reached heights reserved for a few talents. To date, the Marchesi di antinori family in Italy has eight estates, including the Pian delle Vigne winery located a few miles south of Montalcino, just above the Val d'Orcia. The estate, as well as this wine, takes its name from a railway, which has been present within the property since the 19th century. Study, research, experiments and great foresight distinguish the Marquises, rooted at the same time in their beautiful Tuscan land with solid roots, from which each of their ancient and future products comes to life.
Brunello "Pian delle Vigne" is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, as befits this prestigious type. The pure character of Sangiovese, expressed with the most forthright honesty in a form of absolute elegance and finesse, which acquires over the years more and more greater class and complexity. For this reason, the selection of grapes is very careful, both in the field and in the cellar. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation, both inside steel tanks. Aging takes place in large oak barrels for a long time of more than 2 years.
