TASTING NOTES:
Fresh and smooth in the mouth, with aftertaste of eggnog, curry and black tea. Very persistent finish. The richness and complexity of the aromas, the persistence of the bouquet, the absence of rustic notes, all contribute to the expression of the highest quality.
Wine with exceptional aging potential.

AWARDS:
- International Wine Challenge - Silver medal - 90 pts.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Because of the wine-making seniority, because of the fame gained over time, and because of their quality, the wines produced here are part of the "Grands Vins de france." Château d'Arlay is often cited as a "grand cru" of the jura and enjoys a strong image of quality both at home and abroad. The historicity of the wines is reinforced by the style of the labels, which have never varied since 1917. All the vigna, 21 hectares on hilly terrain, are "vieilles vignes," planted in 1953 and 1974. GRAPE varieties grown are Savagnin, Chardonnay and the reds Trusseau, Pinot Noir (called Norien) and Poulsard. Yields are very limited, averaging 30 Hl/Ha. Organic and biodynamic viticulture is practiced on half the vineyards and "raisonnée," in essence organic, on the other half.
