Made using what remains from gin production, this Vodka reflects Bareksten's focus on sustainability. The slow and meticulous distillation then ensures its high quality.

It is aged in a combination of American ex-bourbon oak, French ex-wine oak and ex-Sherry barrels (Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso).

The essence of Norway

Bareksten Spirits finds inspiration from the striking and scenic nature of Norway's west coast. Our vision of drawing identity from geographic location and taste was the main goal during the creation of Bareksten. The base product comes from the distillation of potatoes from locals and every effort has been made to ensure the use of products grown in Norway. Distillation is slow and meticulous to ensure the best results.

"I spent almost five years developing my products before launching them. I performed at least 250 distillations to create the Bareksten Gin recipe. The first time I completed a distillation and saw the drops come out of the still, I knew I had accomplished what I set out to do: create the best gin in the world. I know when something is right, and having worked with distilled spirits for decades, I consider myself an expert. When I tested my bottling, I knew I had touched a nerve from a taste perspective. It was traditional, but it also had uniqueness. I didn't know if everyone else would agree."
