FOOD PAIRINGS: The perfect pairing for Grappa Le Diciotto Lune is undoubtedly Domori’s Teyuna chocolate: a 70% dark chocolate of rare sweetness and refinement, featuring notes of cashew and a honey aftertaste.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: an "Stravecchia" (extra-aged) Grappa that epitomizes the culture, craftsmanship, and art of distillation. It is produced through *bain-marie* distillation in discontinuous stills, using both red and white grape pomace. It is aged in small barrels made of cherry, ash, oak, and black locust wood, each imparting its own unique characteristics of scent, aroma, color, and flavor. The aging process follows the rhythms of nature, spanning eighteen months—from moon to moon.
The bouquet becomes intense, ethereal, and harmonious, while the palate loses its initial sharpness, rounding out to offer an elegant, silky mouthfeel. The spirit takes on a warm amber hue. The Master Distiller oversees the maturation process until the ideal blend is achieved, creating perfect harmony between the wood and the Grappa. Thus, Marzadro’s *Diciotto Lune*—a refined Grappa for contemplation—is born.
