ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Chassagne-Montrachet is a small COUNTRY with a population of less than 500.
Its vineyards, along with those of Puligny and Meursault, make up the three great appellations of Borgogna whites. Some of the best white wines in the world are produced here.

In particular, the grand cru "Le Montrachet," gives a wine that is marked by an almost unbelievable concentration of all the best qualities of white Burgundy:
more aroma, more vivid color, more pronounced TASTING NOTES and more persistent aftertaste.

The Amiot family bought the first vineyard parcels in 1920, including "Les Dents de Chien," part of the Montrachet grand cru.

Already in the 1930s, "vinification et mise en bouteille à la propriété" was being practiced at Domaine Amiot, which was completely innovative at the time. In 1995, the construction of a new cellar with elliptical vaults, ideal for the natural maturation of wines, was completed in the limestone rock of the "Les Caillerets" hill.

Today, Domaine Amiot is run by GUY AMIOT with the help of his son Thierry, witness of the fourth generation. Domaine Amiot is considered by the international press to be a great reality among the best domaines of the Côte de Beaune.
