The soft, velvety harmony of lagrein and merlot is further enhanced by a delicato wood tone. The result is a pleasant, full-bodied rosso with a modern character.

It pairs exceptionally well with grilled meat, game, spicy cheese.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Girlan makes this fine rosso wine from the Trentino tradition by blending lagrein and merlot grapes. The appellation is the classic Alto Adige DOC. The production area where the grapes are grown, falls partly on the Cornaiano area in the Oltradige hills, at an elevation of 450 to 500 meters above sea level. in well-ventilated vineyards, and partly from the Bassa Atesina where we find sandy, warm and deep soils. These components form the basis for this character-filled cuvée. Vinification: Harvesting is done manually in small containers for transport to the winery. After destemming, the must is gravity-driven into stainless steel vats for a 12-15 day fermentation. After malolactic fermentation has taken place aging for 15 months in small and large oak barrels. After being blended, the wine is aged for an additional 6 months in bottle before being marketed.
