To express in a distinctive way, the specificity of the South Tyrolean terroirs of Tramin and Caldaro, is the mission of elena walch, a former architect and enterprising woman with a great passion for wine; an original producer who never fails to give her wines a certain originality and a pleasant elegance, thanks precisely to the soils where the roots of the estate vineyards are rooted, with different soil compositions and different microclimates that con-serve them to find their ideal evolution. These are well-thought-out and never banal wines, in an ensemble of evident qualitative constancy, such as this excellent interpretation of Merlot, with its clear personality and deep attachment to its land.
A bright ruby red, it opens on intense, soft aromas of blackberry jam, spice, humus and chocolate, followed by firm accents of eucalyptus and graphite. In the mouth it is velvety, has very elegant tannins and a very long balsamic finish.
Perfect match for a pork roast, for a nice rib-eye steak with roasted pata-te or with aged cheeses.
