Produced at the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, this single malt is known to all for its intense peat aroma and characteristic almost saline taste, peculiarities appreciated by true connoisseurs but challenging to those who approach it for the first time. Characteristics that stand to underscore the inescapable link between this particular whiskey, the environment and the sea surrounding the island and the men who inhabit and work it. Proposed by Talisker itself as a replacement for the 10-year-old, this single malt is created from the blend of distillates from selected casks of different styles and ages, a revisitation of a great classico that encapsulates strength and elegance

Brilliant old gold in color, it surprises the nose with the initial, violent aroma of peat, then yields to follow notes of candied citrus, pepper, caramel, dried fruit, malt, ginger and brackish undertones. On the palate it surprises with warmth and smoothness, the notes of dried fruit and smoke returning overbearingly and ending with peppery ones.

On its own or with a piece of extra dark 90% chocolate , or with some Stilton cheese.
