HISTORY:
Amaro Eroico from the Essentia Mediterranea distillery was born in Altomonte, in the province of Cosenza, and perfectly expresses the character and ancient history of this land. It is a traditional liqueur that has very ancient origins. In the early 11th century, some monks and hermits who knew the ancient art of alchemy arrived in the small village of Altomonte from Sicily and Greece. Thus was born a tradition and culture of herbalism and infusions, linked to the practices of natural herbal preparations. From this custom, jealously guarded over the centuries, was born a bitter with an ancient and legendary TASTING NOTES, still able to captivate with an intense, elegant and harmonious sip.

RAW MATERIAL:
Amaro Eroico is produced by Essenza Mediterranea with excellent quality ingredients: red orange of Sicily IGP, lemon of Sorrento IGP, bergamot of Calabria, mandarin of Calabria, citron of Calabria, bitter orange, gentian, cinchona, rosemary, oregano, juniper, licorice root and almond.

CHARACTERISTICS:
The aromaticity of citrus fruits, extracted from the essential oils of the peels, is blended with the fresh notes of medicinal plants; herbs and spices complete the bouquet with delicate notes. All botanicals are processed according to the ancient procedures of infusion and cold maceration in alcohol, so that the aromas and scents are preserved intact. Each essence is processed and refined individually. Only later is blending done to create the elixir, following the custom of the oldest recipes of the best liquor masters.

TASTING:
Serve at room temperature, on the rocks with orange slice or in incredible cocktails.

AROMAS:
Amaro Eroico, made by Essenza Mediterranea, has the power to release the most typical charm and aromas of the Mare Nostrum. In the glass it is a beautiful ambra color with bright auburn highlights. Intense and elegant, it expresses a bouquet characterized by scents of orange peel, tangerine, cedar, medicinal herbs, rosemary, gentian, licorice, ripe citrus aromas and soft oriental spices, enhanced by balsamic nuances of juniper berries. The sip is warm, clear and flowing, with a perfect balance between the citrus component and the vegetal sensations of wild herbs. The finish is harmonious, long and persistent, with a pleasantly refreshing closure. Great to drink neat or on the rocks in an after-dinner drink with friends.
