The history of this famous Maison, located not far from Jarnac, in the heart of the Grande Champagne appellation, from which world-famous and renowned bottles come, starts back in 1893 with its foundation. However, the real turning point came in 1956, when the grandparents of the current owners had a happy intuition: to devote themselves to distillation by producing Cognac. In addition to producing the classic Charente distillate, François Peyrot is famous for his fruit liqueurs. Among them, Liqueur au Cognac Poire has become an icon around the world: to produce it, 14 kilograms of Williams pears are needed, harvested in mid-autumn in the Black Forest, from which the aroma is extracted that will go into blending with Cognac, sugar, and distilled water. Perfect for aperitifs, along with 2/3 of Champagne, or chilled for after dinner.
